Riversdale is a typical Lakeland stone house, built in 1830. Quietly situated on the edge of the village, the house overlooks the River Rothay with views of Helm Crag, Silver How and the fells around Easdale Tarn. The centre of Grasmere is just a five minute walk away.

Catering exclusively for non-smokers and recent winners of “Bed and Breakfast of the Year” awarded by Cumbria Tourism, we are open throughout the year, including both Christmas and New Year. Situated at the heart of the Lake District, you will find that Riversdale will provide you with an ideal base from which to explore the many facets of The Lake District.

The three bedrooms are each individually designed, having recently been extended and refurbished to provide guests with quality and comfort. Accommodation can be booked on a Bed and Breakfast only basis, or with the option of an evening meal. Packed lunches are also available.

There is a comfortable Guest Lounge where you can relax with your choice of books, magazines and games. To help you plan your day, a good selection of local guides and suggested walks is available alongside details of places to visit and local events.

Wi-Fi internet access is available free of charge.

Guests also have the use of an attractive patio area that gets the sun for much of the day and therefore makes an ideal spot for relaxation.
